| Deposit Required: $100. Per person by Money Order or Certified Check. (We Do Not Require You To Take The Days Consecutively) (Taxidermy Services Available Upon Request), "YOU HUNT, USE OUR FACILITIES, & TRAVEL OUR LAND AT YOUR RISK." Attention Hunters, Lido’s is located in the heart of Columbia County, one of the state’s most abundant wildlife areas, which each year enjoys one of New York’s largest deer harvest. At Lido’s there is vast acreage for deer hunting as well as one of the best habitats for deer in New York State. We plant corn, sorghum and rye and have a swamp that is approximately 10 miles in circumference. You will find the area superb for deer hunting. Bucks & Does, Only BUCKS are permitted to be taken on the preserve until the last 2 days of the season when Does may be harvested. For hunters with Doe permits, we have an area just off the preserve where Does are permitted to be harvested all season long. Shooting of our breeder does is prohibited which protects the deer population on our preserve." GUNS & AMMO, All deer hunters must be experienced in handling firearms, and all hunters who hunt our areas are not permitted to use any semi-automatic rifles; but, may use rifles which are bolt, lever or pump action. Pistols of 357 or 44 Mag are permitted. Also, bright orange clothing must be worn while hunting. "The Hunt" Your day will begin at 4:30am .After a lite breakfast we will take you out to a select deer stand where you will stay until approximately 10:00 to 12:00 noon. The Hunter will be given a food voucher which will entitle them to a Heavy breakfast with all the trimmings at one of the best diner’s in the area. (location is close proximity to club-5 miles). At approximately 1:00 to 2:00 in the afternoon you will return to our deer stand where you will hunt until the closing hours of the day. We do not offer dinner. you may dine at one of the numerous restaurants in the area, at your expense --for dinner. | |
| Directions to: From: New York Take the Taconic State Parkway to the Hillsdale-Claverack Exit (route 23). Head east towards Hillsdale on Rt 23 and take your first Right after the Elm Tree Motel onto County Rt 11 --- Continue on Rt. 11 and make a Left onto Berkshire Rd. The Preserve is located approximately 2 miles in on Berkshire Rd. From: New Jersey: Take the N.Y.S. Thruway to the Catskill Exit (21) Take a LEFT when you exit the thruway and take your first LEFT after you go under the overpass to the Rip Van Winkle Bridge to Rt. 23 Continue on Rt 23 which will become Rt. 82. Continue on Rt. 82 to the Town of West Taghkanic. Take a LEFT at the Firehouse onto County Rt 10---- Stay on County Rt. 10 going Straight across the parkway until you reach the second STOP sign at County Rt. 27 ---- Make a Right onto County Rt. 27 and a LEFT onto Pumpkin Hollow Rd. At the Town Garage continue on Pumpkin Hollow Rd. and take your first left onto Berkshire Rd. where the preserve in located a short distance in. Directions from Connecticut: take rt. 44 to 22 north to the sign on the right for a left turn onto rt. 7a. Stay on rt. 7a making a left at the clock and continuing straight (you will pass a gas station on the left and the first Niagara bank). On the right is a Nail Salon And Deli. Continue straight on 7a until you reach a sign for Copake lake on the right (rt. 7). Make the right and stay on rt. 7 to Pumpkin Hollow Rd. On the left. Take Pumpkin Hollow Rd. to the "T." and make a left. Take your first right onto Berkshire Rd. Lido’s is located a short distance up the road. Can’t miss us. | |
